What Data We Collect
We collect profile information (name, email, phone, location), work history, education, certifications, skills assessments, behavioral assessment responses and results, and general usage data such as login frequency and feature interactions.
Why We Collect It
Your data is used to match talent with companies based on skills, behavioral profiles, and job requirements. Behavioral assessment data helps build your motivational and soft skills profile for more accurate matching.
Legal Basis
We process data under the lawful basis that fits each purpose, such as providing the platform, taking steps related to recruitment opportunities, protecting security, complying with legal obligations, and using consent where a feature specifically asks for it.
Third-Party Processors
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform: Anthropic (Claude AI) for resume parsing and job description enhancement (data processed in the United States), Supabase for database hosting and storage (hosted in Ireland, EU), Vercel for application hosting (executed in Ireland, EU), Upstash for request rate limiting (hosted in Ireland, EU), WorkOS for authentication and identity management, Resend for transactional emails, and — only if you consent to analytics cookies — Google (Google Analytics) for audience measurement (data processed in the United States). Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) are in place with each provider.
AI Processing
Resumes and job descriptions may be processed by AI (Anthropic Claude) to extract structured data and improve content quality. AI processing is used to parse uploaded resumes, enhance job descriptions, and match skills to reference data. This processing occurs on Anthropic's servers in the United States. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models when accessed via their API. No AI-generated decisions are made without human review.
Your compensation expectation
If you set an expected rate, it is private. Companies never see your figure — not on your profile, not on your CV, not anywhere. We use it only to tell a company whether their own posted budget fits you. If their budget covers you — including if you are under it — they only see that it fits, never that you are below. If you are above their budget, they see a bracket (for example “10–30% above”), never a number. We may also skip notifying you about roles far below your range. You can change or remove your range at any time from your profile, and it is included in your data export.
Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including account operation, recruitment workflows, security, audit, legal obligations, backups, and support. Account deletion removes profile data where we can do so automatically; some records may be retained, minimized, or anonymized when required. When you ask to delete your account, it is deactivated immediately and erased 14 days later. During those 14 days you can restore it by signing in, or ask for immediate erasure. If you tell us why you are leaving, we keep that answer after your account is erased, without your name.
Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to access your personal data, request its correction or deletion, obtain a portable copy of your data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of your data rights, contact us at privacy@migbirds.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. You may also contact your organization's administrator who invited you to the platform.
Cookies
Essential cookies are set without consent because the platform cannot function without them: an authentication session cookie managed by WorkOS, a cookie that remembers your language preference, a cookie that records your choice on the cookie banner, and short-lived cookies used during sign-up. With your explicit consent, we also set Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to measure visits and understand how the platform is used; for this analytics data Google acts as our processor. Analytics cookies are optional: none are set until you accept them in the cookie banner, declining leaves the platform fully functional, and we never use them for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site profiling. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page (including this one), which reopens the banner; clearing this site's cookies in your browser has the same effect.
International Data Transfers
Your primary data is stored and processed in the European Union: the application runs on Vercel in Ireland, and the database is hosted by Supabase in Ireland. When you use AI-powered features such as resume parsing or job description enhancement, relevant data may be processed in the United States by Anthropic. If you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics measurement data is also processed in the United States by Google. Transfers outside the EU are handled through contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and Data Processing Agreements with processors.
