What Data We Collect
We collect profile information (name, email, phone, location), work history, education, certifications, skills assessments, behavioral assessment responses and results, and general usage data such as login frequency and feature interactions.
Why We Collect It
Your data is used to match talent with companies based on skills, behavioral profiles, and job requirements. Behavioral assessment data helps build your motivational and soft skills profile for more accurate matching.
Legal Basis
We process your data based on your consent (provided at registration) and our legitimate interest in operating a talent matching platform. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
Third-Party Processors
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform: Anthropic (Claude AI) for resume parsing and job description enhancement (data processed in the United States), Supabase for database hosting and storage (hosted in Ireland, EU), WorkOS for authentication and identity management, and Resend for transactional emails. Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) are in place with each provider.
AI Processing
Resumes and job descriptions may be processed by AI (Anthropic Claude) to extract structured data and improve content quality. AI processing is used to parse uploaded resumes, enhance job descriptions, and match skills to reference data. This processing occurs on Anthropic's servers in the United States. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models when accessed via their API. No AI-generated decisions are made without human review.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.
Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to access your personal data, request its correction or deletion, obtain a portable copy of your data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw your consent at any time.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise any of your data rights, contact us at privacy@migbirds.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. You may also contact your organization's administrator who invited you to the platform.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only: an authentication session cookie managed by WorkOS and a locale preference cookie to remember your language choice. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
International Data Transfers
Your primary data is stored in the European Union (Supabase, hosted in Ireland). When you use AI-powered features (resume parsing, job description enhancement), your data is temporarily processed in the United States by Anthropic. Transfers to the United States are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) are in place with all processors. Anthropic does not retain your data after processing and does not use API data for model training.
